Sallie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She obtained her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2003. Sallie joined Southern Illinois Psychiatry in January 2007. Sallie has previously worked as an Early Childhood Educator, Vocations Counselor, Social Worker, Community Organizer, and Yoga Teacher. Sallie has received advanced training in: Mindfulness techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression; Developing Self-Compassion; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Couples Therapy; Non-Violent Communication Training; Trauma Therapy; and Sand Tray Therapy. Sallie provides individual, couples, and family therapy to her clients.

Kathy obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Services from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 1974. She then attended the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL and obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work in 1976. Kathy began her career in medical and school social work. In 1994, Kathy became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practiced as a psychotherapist at Perry County Counseling Center in DuQuoin until February 2010. She joined Southern Illinois Psychiatry, LLC of Marion in March 2010. Kathy provides individual, couples, and family therapy to her clients.
Melissa obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 2002. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work in 2008 from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale as well. Melissa became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2011. Melissa has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She joined Southern Illinois Psychiatry LLC in August 2012. Melissa provides individual, couples, and family therapy to her clients.
Jodie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience in the mental health field. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1985 and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale in 2008. She was licensed in Illinois in 2010. During her years of work she has provided therapy services to youth, adults, families, and groups. She has worked with intervention styles and therapies including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. She also has experience with The Skills System, a derivative of dialectical behavior therapy. Jodie joined Southern Illinois Psychiatry in October 2014. Her area of expertise is individual therapy. She is also available to work with couples and families.
Referral from pediatrician or primary care physician is required for anyone under the age of 18.
